Week of December 1

We hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving and enjoyed your time off of work – hopefully – and didn’t go too crazy with Black Friday Shopping. We discussed if stores should or shouldn’t be open on Thanksgiving, and while we think there is no reason for stores to open early, it really has been going on for years. Kyla used to go to the Coach Outlets on Thanksgiving night, wait in line, and at 11pm, the doors would open and the girls would go crazy for the best discount on their designer bag. Also, I am sure many of you have swung by a Starbucks on your way over to your in-laws for a quick coffee on Thanksgiving Day. The Thanksgiving Day early shopping really takes all the “fun” away from Black Friday. It’s not really on Friday anymore.. It all week. And then it rolls into Cyber Monday. Which will most likely be EXTENDED! just one more day or week. Oh retail. you got us…. just. one. more. sale. We are suckers.

Okay, sorry for that diversion. Lets talk about food shall we. There is only one more month for you to fullfill that New Years Resolution you set back in January. Most people set their resolutions based around food or working out. Now- if you have went off the beaten trail and didn’t meet your expectations or goals. Set your December Resolution now! If you want to start pre-planning or cooking your meals, this site will help you. For the lunches listed below, both were prepared on the Sunday before the work week, and the first dinner was made in bulk on Monday to have leftovers. Last week waaaaasss thanksgiving, so on Thursday we enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast with leftovers through the weekend. (Remember– we post our meals a week after we consume them to make sure it is something we actually want our readers to try).

Happy December and Guten Appetit!

About Us
This blog is brought to you by Dan & Kyla. Both of us are dedicated to eating as healthy as possible, working out, being active, and challenging ourselves to experience everything life has to offer. Our Sunday 'prep day' has helped us grow closer as a couple and has allowed us to enjoy our seldom 'cheat days' to the fullest. Friends and family have always had questions about our weekly rituals and recipes so we thought we would share how we go week to week, finding recipes, cooking our meals, and managing our busy lifestyle with a health conscience view. This is the first blog we have created together and will hopefully get progressively better with our posts and feedback. Please feel free to post any comments or questions about a recipe, or ideas on how to make the recipe or website better. Most of all we hope you enjoy what we have to share. Guten Appetit!
