Welcome home Kelli! After a month of Kyla’s really good friend Kelli being away for over a month, we had to celebrate her belated birthday and Dan was lucky enough to celebrate with seven girls. Yes, we will keep it at “lucky.”
After welcoming her home and celebrating her birthday on Friday; early on Saturday we both worked out at CrossFit South Denver and Kyla set a new personal record on her Deadlift, while Dan practiced his Clean. Saturday morning workouts are a staple to our weekend, especially knowing what foods we will indulge in, and what drinks we will consume. We both had separate plans for the evening, but something we are both proud of is that we installed our first-ever ceiling fan. Oh, homeownership. Neither of us has ever installed anything in our home and this weekend we got the ceiling fan installed in our living room… and it works… and it doesn’t make a sound. Lovely.
Our plans for the following week were a bit hectic, but we were excited to feed some of our friends and family. On Tuesday we had our friend Tiffany come over and we cooked chicken on the grill with sautéed broccoli and then on Friday, Dan’s family came over and because we know how much they enjoy our sauerkraut, we made that for them. Our lunches were two of the best meals we have made so far. We created our own sweet potato hash and put grilled steak with it and then for our other meal it was all done in the Crock Pot – beef & pork spare ribs, thanks to Paleomg. Guten Appetit!
