Turkey & Beef Taco Salad


  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 medium red tomatoes, diced
  • 1 bundle of spinach, stems removed
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 – 4 jalapenos, diced
  • 1 – 8oz can black beans
  • 1 – 8oz can pinto beans
  • 1/4 cup Kraft Mexican Style Four Cheese blend, shredded
  • Spices
    • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
    • 2 tsp sea salt
    • 2 Tbsp chili powder
    • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
    • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
    • 1 tsp paprika
    • 2 tsp ground cumin
    • 2 tsp ground black pepper


  1. Mix all spices in a bowl and set aside for later
  2. Pre heat pot to medium – high heat
  3. Combine onions and jalapenos and place into the pot
  4. Cook until the onions are translucent (5 – 7 minutes)
  5. Add the ground turkey and ground beef to the pot
  6. Add the spices to the pot and stir
  7. Cook the meat, stirring occasionally, until there is no pink color visible (10 -15 minutes)
  8. Place the meat into a tupperware container
  9. Layer with black beans, pinto beans, spinach, tomatoes, and cheese (or pack spinach and tomatoes separately)
  10. Guten Appetit!
